BizTechDay is very proud to present the 6th annual San Francisco Small Business Week from May 15th – 21st, 2010.

Each year we honor the contributions of small businesses and entrepreneurs by hosting a week of exciting FREE events and workshops — all designed to inspire, educate and connect the local business community. Small Business Week is part of a national celebration that recognizes the importance of small business to a thriving economy. So mark your calendar and get ready for the business event of the year!

This years events:
Saturday, May 15 – Shop Your Neighborhood
On May 15th, explore San Francisco’s great merchant corridors and look for special discounts, sidewalk sales, in-store demonstrations and many other exciting activities.

Monday, May 17 – Flavors of San Francisco
Mayor Gavin Newsom rolls out the red carpet for small business owners and honors Small Business awardees in a special gala event. Make important new connections and enjoy a taste of San Francisco presented by over 25 local restaurateurs and merchant associations.

Wednesday May 19 – Small Business Conference
Choose from more than 30 FREE workshops designed for small business owners on topics that include finance, green business, online media, marketing, technology, workplace safety and much more. Workshops are held at San Francisco State University’s Downtown Campus.

Wednesday May 19 – Women Innovators: Inside Success
A special evening presentation where you’ll engage with innovative women, listen to their stories and learn about their views of personal and professional success. Our panel of successful women will demonstrate that the secrets of success are really no secret at all!

Thursday, May 20 – Business After Hours Expo
This is a networking event you absolutely don’t want to miss! Held at AT&T Park, the event features more than 150 exhibitors, live music, catered hors dʼoeuvres from the Bay Area’s top restaurants and includes complimentary wine.

All Week – Merchant Association Mixers

As part of the celebration, and throughout the month, local merchant associations be hosting mixers across the city. You’ll have a chance to get to know your community and connect with other local entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The sixth annual San Francisco Small Business Week is presented by Wells Fargo and produced in partnership with the Small Business Administration, The San Francisco Mayor’s Office, Small Business Commission, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Council of District Merchant Associations, BizTechDay and the Golden Gate Business Association.
