Before you apply for a BizTech license, be prepared to follow all of the basic BizTech event guidelines listed below.
Basic guidelines for all BizTech events:
- Purpose: Your event must maintain the spirit of BizTech to Inspire, Educate & Connect Entrepreneurs.
- Maximum of 4 speakers are allowed in each BizTech. Submit a list of potential keynote speakers to BizTechDay for approval before contacting any.
- Speaking Format: 30-minutes panel or no more than 10-minutes individual talk for each person.
- Staging: No podium. One large screen with projector for slides.
- Recording and streaming video: You are required to capture on video all original content presented at your BizTech event, and make this accessible to other BizTech communities worldwide.
- Length/frequency: Your event may not exceed 5 hours in length.
- A BizTech license allows you to hold one event; if you want to host a recurring event, you must apply for a second license after you’ve hosted one BizTech event.
- Sponsorships: You may attach sponsors to your event, but you must submit a list of potential sponsors to BizTechDay for approval before contacting any.
- Promotions: In all communications to potential attendees, speakers and sponsors, you must use the official BizTech branding, and make it clear that your event is independently organized.
